Online Giving

We are always willing to accept a helping hand and appreciate each member
   who contributes. Giving doesn’t stop with the offering basket on Sunday morning;
there are many ways to help here at WSCC.

Here at WSCC we want to invest in our community and be able to give back.

We are looking to donate socks for the homeless during the winter months.

                              Specifically we are looking for:

                              All types of socks
                              All sizes

If you would like to donate or have any questions, feel free to call our office at (916) 373-1422.

How you can get involved in various Ministries:

 OUTREACH Ministries

“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty
and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick
 you visited me.” Matthew 25:34-36b

 Scope:
There are many people all over the world and in our own communities that need a helping hand,
a caring heart, and to experience the love of Christ. Many times people are seeking help from others so
they are able to live better and be better. However, resources, compassion, and genuine love seem to
 be limited.

 Target Group:
The poor, homeless, and the socially/economically oppressed.

 Program Description:
The purposes of our program are to provide relief to the poor, distressed and underprivileged. We are also
designed to improve the quality of life to families in the community who are underprivileged, or socially and
economically oppressed in order to restore a sense of dignity, self–worth; and as a result, become
 productive citizens in the community.

 We will:

   o Conduct clothing give-aways
o Meet and pray with them
o Collect socks and blankets for the homeless
o Where appropriate, partner with agencies for counseling, protection and “safety”
o Conduct school uniform and back pack drives
o Give away food basket during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season

From BRUISED & BATTERED to BLESSED, Domestic Violence Ministry

Come unto me, "all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

 Scope:
Domestic violence is an abomination and has been hidden in churches for a very long time. Those who suffer
often suffer silently and the scars from abuse can last a lifetime. From Bruised & Battered to Blessed work
with families, using Godly principles to bring about healing.

 Target Group:
Those who are afflicted by mental and physical abuse.

 Program Description:
The purposes of our programs are to promote Christianity, as well as educate the public on domestic  violence and provide an understanding of the devastating affect that domestic violence has on the  community.

 We will:

   o
Identify abused persons
o Meet and pray with them
o Where appropriate, partner with agencies for counseling, protection and “safety”
o Educate about abusive behaviors as it relates to the Bible
o Encourage persons to seek help
o Conduct Workshops, advocacy services, peer mentoring, counseling, and referrals

 PRISON/JAIL Ministry

“I was in prison and you came to Me” Matthew 25:36c

 Scope:
Everyone makes mistakes; unfortunately some mistakes are more costly than others. An incarcerated
parent can leave a family devastated. Often times the spouse and the children feel abandoned and hopeless.

 Target Group:
The single parent families of an incarcerated spouse and the incarcerated spouse.

 Program Description:
The purposes of our program are to promote Christ while providing relief to the poor, oppressed, and
underprivileged. We will minister to the families of the incarcerated spouse by providing counseling, tutoring
services for the children, and small study groups with those with similar struggles. We will also provide visits
to the incarcerated and clothing to those when they are released.

 We will:

   o Conduct small group meeting
   o Tutoring for the children
   o Counseling
o Where appropriate, partner with agencies for specialized counseling
o Assistant with food and gifts for the children during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season

 GOD SEEKERS, Prayer Ministry

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

 Scope:
Prayer is communication with God through the person of Jesus Christ. God wants us to communicate
with Him. Prayer is also an act of obedience. Oftentimes people think about prayer as a means to get
their personal needs met. However, we should understand that through the loving act of prayer we
are able to: praise and adore God, to know Him, to honor Him, to show our love and dependence
towards Him, to come into His presence and be changed by Him.

 Target Group:
Anyone who would like to develop a stronger prayer life.

 Program Description:
Our purpose and goal is to pray for the needs of the country, nation, state, surrounding cities, city,
community, and its people, churches and ministries. We are also committed to praying for one another.

 We will:

   o
Have a sensitive heart towards the things of God
o Be content with serving others behind-the-scene
o Be able to discern the prayer needs of others
o Be willing to pray with others openly when lead by the Holy Spirit
o Be committed to praying daily for others
o Pray for extended periods of time with joy
o Have continuous growth in praying and learn more about prayer
o Share with others what God has done without bringing attention to self
o Recognize and record prayer and answers
o Expect to hear from God according to His wisdom
o Receive guidance and regular insight from the scripture that informs their praying
o Enjoy intimacy with the Lord in your daily walk with Him
o Regularly pray for pastors and/or ministries (as a high priority)
o Be comfortable praying alone, or with others, in different environments, at various times of
      the day or night
o Be comfortable inviting others to join in prayer
o Fast and pray when prompted by the Holy Spirit

JARS OF CLAY, Young Women’s Ministry

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from
God and not from us." 2 Corinthians 4:7

 Scope:
With so much “media hype” today, young women are often ill prepared for life. Images of scantly
dressed women are seen everywhere. Young women view these images and immoral behaviors as
“normal” since ad campaigns compete for attention using every type of media available (television,
 magazines, internet, billboards, etc.).

 Target Group:
 Girls ages 6-18

 Program Description:
West Sacramento Community Church is working to raise a new generation of young women with values
and morals that are set apart from the world.

 We will:

   o
Identify young women and girls within described age groups
   o Teach social skills
o Teach what the Bible says about morality
   o Arrange field trips
o Teach Godly values, self-esteem and etiquette
o Work with girls so that the finished product has prepared them for the world
o Help girls to understand that they are set apart and have been chosen by God to make
a difference in their families, communities and the world
